Dean Wheelock Harris Jr. 1924-2009

My grandpa, Dean W. Harris Jr. was a truly gentle soul.  He had a deep and abiding love for his family.  He was an expert carpenter and baker.  Grandpa served in the Pacific Theater during WWII.  He was buried with full military honors at Riverside National Cemetery.  It was a fitting tribute for a man who devoted his life to others.  He will be missed.

Our Cabin for the Weekend

This is the master bath.  It had a jetted bath tub and a dual shower head.  So nice!!
The view from the master suite's porch.
Our cabin.
The view from our bonus room looking down on the living room.

Random Shots of Family Bonding

They were good sports.  The funny thing was that my dad sat there for a minute or two with his pose while the other two got around to theirs.
Sisters can have fun too!
Can't you tell by our smiles that we actually enjoyed each others company?

Stair Luge

My brother decided that there is only one thing to do when it's raining outside ... Stair Luge.  Here is the inventor of the madness.
I can't believe it but my husband agreed to go down the steps with me.  I obviously enjoyed it!
The only other person who got in on the action was my big sis Steph.
The next two pictures show that the stair luge can go wrong but it's still fun!
The next shot would have been we rolling down the last three steps.  I'm not so graceful.  It's just not in my genes.

Davies Reunion @ Ponderosa Ranch

Here are the picture from the last day of the reunion.
Here is a picture of my dad, his parents and siblings:
