A Neat Freaks Worst Nightmare...

Our apartment is full of boxes and looks so messy!!
I had decided that we should photo-document our moving but I have to admit that I picked up a little before taking the pictures. :) I've been avoiding packing but realized that our time is running out to get things together before the beginning of the month.

Weekend Vacation

Last month Mike and I took a mini-vacation to Anaheim and with all the house excitement I haven't had a chance to blog about it.  The reason we went down to Anaheim was because we had tickets to the Trick or Treat event at California Adventures.  Mike and I met up with the Paxman's and their friends for the event.  Mike was not willing to dress up but I figured I'd be a good sport and went as the wicked witch from Snow White.
(Check out Stacey's blog for all the good photos)
One nice part of our vacation was ROOM SERVICE!!  Yes the two penny pinchers actually paid too much for breakfast just so that we could be lazy for another couple hours.
This was a great weekend away from the stress of home buying and we ended up with a ton of candy!!

Perris Here We Come...

We got our house!!  Yesterday we got the call that our bid was accepted and the house is now ours.  Mike and I are both in shock but our families are super excited.  I don't think it will sink in until we have our keys and we are doing all the work of moving.  We are happy and ready to get to work making this our dream home!!

House Hunters

We recently decided that we should take advantage of the current housing market and found out that we could possibly afford a house.  So this past Thursday we started the hunt and it was an adventure.  Houses in our price range are either torn apart or in the ghetto.  Call us crazy but we actually fell in love with a house that needs some love (to say the least).  So we'll see what happens with this new adventure.

New Puppy: Rudy

While the boys were at the Priesthood session the Davey women went to dinner and then headed over to the Davies' home to visit with the new puppy!!
Scarlett liked the puppy but thought it was gross when the puppy "kissed" her toes.
The person who liked the dog most was Kaelyn!!
The biggest shock was when Bonski conquered his fear of dogs and pet Rudy!!

Good News...Bad News

The Davies family got some new additions recently two Lab/Akita puppies!
Their names are Cubby and Rascal.

They are adorable and we all love them so much (even Mike).
Here's Cubby sleeping:
Sadly a week later Rascal became very ill and passed away.
Here's a few pictures of the precious puppy:

Thanks Steph!!

My sister surprised us with a free night at the Santa Ana/Costa Mesa Courtyard.  We graciously accepted and were ready to get away.  We started off our weekend by going to the Block at Orange.  It was a beautiful day and we had a blast walking around!  For lunch we ate a New York Pizzeria and the slices of pizza were HUGE.  After going in every store, and walking until our feet were sore, we finally went to the hotel.
The first thing that we do is check what's on the CABLE TV!!
Just a random picture of me!
Our relaxing weekend had to include a trip down to the spa.
But Mike thought it was too hot and decided to take a late night swim.  He'll probably kill me for putting his macho man picture on our blog.  Oh well!

Angels Game

One day while I was at work I got an email that my uncle had tickets that he needed to get rid of.  Of course I jumped at the chance to go to an ANGELS GAME!!  We were even more excited because it was game two of the series against the Yankees!  The night before the Angels' killed the Yankees and were one game out of clinching the division, so we had our hopes way up.  We were like little kids on Christmas morning!  We showed up a little late and it was already not looking good for our boys.  It just continued to get worse so my poor husband had to eat his feelings.  I told him we needed a picture for the blog but he refused to look happy!  So this is his fake smile:

We walked away from our Angels nightmare just excited that we could be there.  The last time we went to Angels game was our third date when we went with Jill and Paul.  The Angels got killed that time too!  I'm still convinced we are bad luck to the team.
Look how close we were though!!

The Boys and Their Video Games

It was tough to pull the boys away from their Mario baseball.
I just had to make Mike one of the boys.
Once again they're glued to their baseball game.

"Family" trip to Corona Del Mar

Scarlett and I built a sand castle.
We then went to the water to clean up.  Don't let the picture fool you.  She was terrified of the water at first but warmed up to it after seeing the fun her brothers were having.
Mike and Bonski enjoyed having their feet sink in the sand.  Notice that Scarlett is taller than Bonski.
Here's all of them sinking their feet into the sand.

Some Great Scarlett Moments

Scarlett really enjoyed playing her Game "Girl."
This is a game Scarlett invented for her and her puppies.  They were in "boats" crossing the bridge of video games.  They needed the bridge because the floor was lava.
She got a little distracted by one of the video games.
Sometimes she would get sassy, or it's just another one of her great poses.

DAY FIVE

On Wednesday we went to the movies and saw Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
After the movie we went to dinner at
Later that night we found out that airheads + shockers + sour skittles + rootbeer + brownies= A WHOLE LOT OF VOMIT!!  Thanks Isaac!

DAY FOUR

Tuesday we went to Guasti.  It's a local waterpark with slides, pool and water fun area.  I figured I should put at least one picture of Mike and I up.  Here it is:

Scarlett always poses for the pictures.
Here's two pictures of a water fight between Scarlett and Isaac:

Isaac looking pretty silly.
Here's the evidence that I kept running away from the kids.
After swimming we went to the pond to feed the ducks.

SLIP 'N SLIDE

We introduced the kids to the wonderful world of slip 'n slides.  Kevin was the one kid who really got into it.  He even got some big air preparing to slide.

I  wasn't as graceful...
Scarlett tried to jump like Bonski but her landing wasn't as successful.
Mike showed some style on his slide.
Isaac was pretty good at the slide too but was more interested in the bugs in the backyard.

I guess we should apologize to John and Cindy.  Hopefully we didn't ruin their backyard.
