The Newest Addition To The Davey Family...

We call my new car "Big Red!!"

It is a 2008 Saturn Astra. We always said we would never buy a new car but I guess we lied.

My Vue was having some transmission issues and I was sick of driving a manual. So we decided to cut our losses and trade it in for a car we both enjoyed driving. We went to Saturn and saw some used cars that would work just fine but found out it would be cheaper to get a new one. After a couple hours at Saturn of Riverside we took this beauty home. I should just say that Mike had no say in the color it was all me. All I need now is an Angels' sticker!!

Valentine's Day

Mike decided to surprise me for Valentine's day since I had to work. When I got home he had a yummy dinner prepared with my favorite soda to drink.
After dinner we exchanged our gifts. I got him these golf balls with cute little sayings on them. I was bummed to find out they were just decorative. I was hoping he could use them on our annual Mesquite vacation but there is no chance of that now.
Mike way out did my present though. He had made clues to help me find my gift.
My present was a beautiful pot of tulips. He pays attention because I always talk about tulips and whenever we are at a store I always stop and look at them. These tulips are the prettiest purple I've ever seen too. We'll see how long it takes me to kill them :)
I honestly have the best husband who is so romantic. He really made Valentine's day special for me and I love him SO MUCH!!

Davies Family Trip To Disneyland!

My sister, Heather, and her family came down for a visit from Washington. The obvious plan for her visit was a trip to Disneyland. So Thursday the whole family (minus Jon who had to work) went to the happiest place on earth. Since tickets are so stinking expensive we all thought it was cheaper to just get passes. So for the next year Mike and I are free to go to Disneyland (as long as it's not blacked out!) and we are really excited about this. Well Thursday was the day that the big storm was suppose to roll in but when we got there it was just a little cold. So we hurried up and went over to Pirate's Island so that we could play before it rains.
What you can't see in this picture is that my dad is below on the other end of this telephone thingy. I don't think Mikey understood how this worked or he just hears as well as the rest of us :). He looks like he's being sucked into it. This is Natty and I pumping the water gun thing. Here's Mike and his new girlfriend. She loves "Big Mike" or "the boy."
Pirate Mike and his missing tooth. He lost his first tooth the day before. I think it adds to the pirate persona. Natty liked to just sit in the pirate booty and sing "Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirate's Life For Me!"Here we are waiting in line for Nemo. So Mike and I have a new favorite ride and it is the Toy Story one in California Adventures. This was the longest line of the day but way worth it. Plus by this point it was raining pretty hard and the line was half uncovered so obviously it's good if people were willing to stand in the rain to ride it.
Here we are waiting for King Arthur's Carousel. Natty's eyes got so big watching it go around. It was too adorable!
Here's princess Natty on her horse. My sister-in-law Kim got a good laugh on my behalf on this ride because I had to pick the horse that was all the way up and about died trying to get on it. It took three good tries before I finally got on. Luckily she was the only one who saw and there is no photo evidence of the struggle. I seriously think I pulled a muscle trying to get up though. Word to the wise: Pick the horses that are low enough to get on!
Here's our pretend family on Dumbo. Poor Mike got picked on all day because he was the only person who didn't look wet at all. His track jacket, hair and jeans were all dry until we got on Dumbo and he stepped in the puddle formed at the feet of our flying elephant. Despite being wet and cold all day it was really fun. We are all excited to go back for Big Mike's birthday and hope that it is a sunny day.

We Are Pretty Much Official...

So I no longer have an excuse to not update this crazy thing because we finally gave in and got the INTERNET!! We've pretty much lost our minds because not only did we get the internet but we traded in our rabbit ears for cable tv. I think we've way out did ourselves this time. But I'm sure my family is happy because they all joked that Mike had to stand on the roof in a tin foil hat so that I could watch tv. So I guess for Mike's safety it is a good thing that we squeezed it all in the budget :) The funniest thing was that the Verizon guy told us that all we need now is a bigger tv. Mike and I looked at each other and laughed. Fat chance of that one!!
